Office Hours

It looks like afternoons and evenings this week will be tough, but I can meet with people at school as early as 6:30 AM, so if you are interested, sign up for a 15 minute early AM time slot by commenting here.  

Also, I will be available during A, E and F block tomorrow if you have a study, G and A on Wednesday and F, G and A on Thursday.

Research Paper Format

If you are trying to figure out how to cite information in the text of your paper look at the description here:

Also some quick tips for your works cited page:

1.  Your title should just be "Works Cited"

2.  The whole page should be set to 1.5 spacing

3.  Each citation should have a hanging indent of .5 (that is, everything after the first line should be indented by .5)

4.  Your citations should be in alphabetical order

5.  You should include all works that aided in writing the paper, even if you do not directly cite them in the paper.

Resource Ideas and Suggestions

As research paper season is going on I often find myself reading books or articles that might help you in your research.  As this happens I will post the names of books and/or links to articles that I find.

The Looming Tower, by Lawerence Wright - Useful for anyone writing about Osama bin Laden

The Elephant and the Dragon, by Robyn Meredith - Useful for anyone writing about modern China or India

Telling the Truth about the Armenian Genocide, by Christopher Hitchens (He links you to some book ideas too.)
